December News
Happy holidays,
I have a show in the lounge of the Zen Center, a beautiful Julia Morgan building in SF's Hayes Valley, and four of my paintings got selected for six months at the offices of the SF Travel Association, coordinated by Artspan. SF Travel is not open to the public, unfortunately, and it's best to check the Zen Center schedule before visiting so you can have a vegetarian meal, meditate, or at least just be able to get into the building.

My Big Fat Gypsy Show
![]() |
| Travellers oil on canvas 30 x 30 in. |
For the month of September I got to put up the show at City Art I've been wanting to have for a couple years: a gypsy-themed show with caravans, campfires, a belly dancer, violinist and fortune teller. They are on the big wall on the left when you go in the gallery. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sundays, noon til 9pm, and the show comes down on Sunday, October 2.
Meanwhile I'm busy getting ready for Open Studios on October 1 and 2 with an opening in our studio's gallery on the evening of September 30.

Airstreams and dreams

I have been painting more little fires in the woods, more bar scenes on canvatex, a couple very small but unmistakable San Francisco scenes, putting the finishing touches on some large portraits, and doing studies for a new subject that I'm super excited about - and not going to tell you about yet.
I'll be showing at City Art again in September with the Gypsy theme show I've been wanting to do for ages, participating in San Francisco Open Studios 2011 at Workspace Limited, and more, that I will fill you in on later.
